The Art of Giving Art:
an inspiring workshop series for 1st-8th graders at Blaine
Registration now closed. All Workshops are sold out.
The Blaine PTA in conjunction with ART*eology will be conducting a series of art workshops where the creative efforts of our students will be shared with and installed at two very special off-site locations:
Hartwell House – an assisted living facility designated as a special care unit for persons with Alzheimer’s or other dementias
For this location, we’ll be learning about Georgia O’Keeffe, the inspiration behind our flower mosaics. Using watercolor techniques, we’ll put together colorful and vibrant flower panels for the rooms of the 28 residents of the Hartwell House.
Heather House – a residential program for women in need
For this location, we’ll be learning about Hundertwasser, the inspiration behind our lollipop garden. Students will learn about design, composition and color in Hundertwasser’s style, collaborating to create a visually stunning installation for the residents of the Heather House.
